Kim is the first figure skater from Korea to win an ISU Championship (2006 World Junior Championships). She
also was the first Korean to medal at an ISU Championhip (silver at the 2005 World Junior Championships). Kim
has been training partially in Canada. Her new coach Brian Orser is the 1984 and 1988 Olympic silver medallist.
