Christina and William Beier are brother and sister. Their mother is from the Philippines, their father is German. |
They moved to Germany when they were 6 and 7 years old respectively. They had relatives who worked at the ice |
rink in Chemnitz and started to skate just for fun. When they were 12 and 13 years old, they left their family in |
Chemnitz and moved to Dortmund as they had much better practice conditions for ice dancing there. Beier/Beier |
switched coaches right after German Nationals in January 2004. They were unable to compete at the 2004 NHK |
Trophy because their luggage with their skates was lost on the way to Japan. |
