Joubert has landed  quad-triple toeloop combinations in competition. He started to skate at age four because his
two elder sisters skated. Originally, he wanted to play ice hockey, but his mother signed him up for figure skating
lessons. Joubert immediately liked the jumping, and didn't want to play hockey anymore. He won the bronze medal
in his debut at the 2002 European Championships. Joubert prefers his first name to be pronounced in English.
Joubert and his long-time coach Veronique Guyon ended their collaboration just at the beginning of the 2003/2004
season but teamed up again in January 2005. 2002 Olympic Champion Alexei Yagudin is working with Joubert as
a consultant.
