| Van der Perren has landed triple-triple-triple combinations in competition and quad loops in practice. Van der |
| Perren is the first skater from Belgium ever to medal at Junior World Championships. He is also the first male |
| skater from Belgium to medal at an ISU Championship since Fernand Leemans took the bronze at the 1947 |
| European Championships. Van der Perren started to skate as a ten year old after watching an ice show. At that |
| time, it was his dream to star in the show. |
