Lambiel admires Todd Eldredge for his career, Alexei Yagudin for his personality and Evgeni Plushenko for his
technique. He aspires to become a medical doctor. Lambiel had to undergo knee surgery in November 2002, but
came back strong shortly after that to win his third National title. Lambiel left long-time coach Peter Grütter for a
few months in 2004 but teamed up with him again before the 2005 European Championships.
