OBERTAS / Alexei SOKOLOV (RUS), |
Obertas/Slavnov teamed up in spring 2003. Both have competed successfully with other partners. Obertas |
competed for the Ukraine until 2000, then she moved to Russia and is now living in St. Petersburg. The couple |
changed coaches in summer 2003. They include a rarely seen quadruple twist and throw triple flip in their |
programs. They have landed the quadruple twist in competition since the beginning of the 2004/2005 season. |
Slavnov was taken to the ice rink by his grandmother. He switched from singles to pairs at age 16. |
